Litter Box Training A Yorkie?
I have a Yorkshire Terrier that isn't quite a year old yet, but I'm absolutly sick of cleaning up after her. I am scared to let her go outside, because she is so small, so I would like to litter box train her. I bought a litter box made for dogs, and litter made for dogs, and I set it in a small space, and put up a little gate for her to stay in there with the litter box, but then all she wanted to do was eat the litter!!! Then I opened the gate and thought I needed to take a more calming approach to it, but then she still would go in there to eat it. Finally I got so tired of picking up litter, that I tried those “Poddy Pads”, but she tore those up in about 3 seconds!!! I'd really like to have her trained to a litter box, but, I just need some help. Any advice?
